We spend the first 15 minutes on ocean education. The children watch and discuss the conditions for that day. They also have the opportunity to compare conditions from previous days (if applicable). This is the time when we review rip currents, longshore currents, and any other hazards that are present.
Then, the children are broken into 3 groups. They will be grouped with their friends, not by ability. If your child does not know anyone, don’t worry! They will be paired with other children and meet new friends.
Your child will receive 45 minutes every day to surf. Our 1:2 instructor to student ratio ensures that each child receives personal training. If they wish to surf on their own before or after their turn, they are more than welcome to give it a go.
During the remaining time, they practice bodyboarding, skimboarding, bodysurfing, or play beach games.
Throughout the camp, our team continually educates the children on water safety and the skills needed to play safely in the ocean and on the beach.
